I have no idea why successful Chinese male singers have this idea that at some point in their career, they HAVE to appear effy and do weird things like wear skirts and steal clothes from the females? Andy Lau did it not too long ago - appeared on stage wearing long 'skirts'. Jay Chou had no need to do that at all cause he's actually a Tae Kwon Do disciple and I'd rather he demo'd a few kewl TKD moves in that MTV instead. My dad laughed when he watched it and turned to my mom and exclaimed, "What's that kah juak (cockroach) doing? Acting like some ah gua or Eunuch?" I liked Jay Chou's earlier MTV's - the one where he played with the Xuang1 Lian2 Guen4 and the one set in Japan with ninjas after him. More macho!

Rhonda SG His music is actually pretty nice. Not all... a few pieces. I'll call them 'Exercise Music', can imagine kick-boxing whilst listening to them! He's actually a talented individual. Before he became a singer, he was a composer whose songs were very popular - and very unlike the songs he composes and performs now. He beat all odds to become a singer, cause he was initially rejected time and again cause he was told that he may have the talent but he doesn't have the face nor the image. So, I admire him in that sense - he never gave up and he's an underdog morphed into a big dog cause of his perseverance. I just wish he'd stop doing the ah gua routine!
